Resolution For 2008

Happy New Year 2008!

Everyone should have dreams to chase & aiming to achieve. It is the time to list my resolution for year 2008.

1.) A new & better career ( If no increment & bonus before Chinese new year )

2.) Loss 5kgs by early of March or May ( To attend my friends’ wedding ) & loss another 5kgs by the followings months. Total aiming = Lose 10kgs.

3.) Hong Kong trip for at least 6 nights 7 days. ( Backup vacation is Bali 4 nights 5 days. )

4.) Sponsor my parent to take a flight within Malaysia. ( Anywhere they like )

5.) Bake at least 2 cakes or cookies. ( Firstly is to buy a microwave. )

6.) Design & sew at least 2 dresses or blouses.

7.) Play a perfect song with my keyboard. ( Before the keyboard run out of key )

8.) Find my Mr. Right & get married. ( Oh, so difficult! )

9.) Upgrade my Internet & write blog to earn USD100/year.

10.) Learn to speak Japanese ( which I should have started years ago ) or Korean.

11.) To buy myself a diamond ring. ( Am I too greedy? I hope not hehehe )

I wish I could work it out, even not 100% but at least 50%. Wish everyone happy new year & have a healthy & wealthy year ahead. Cheers….. ^v^

Last Birthday Gift - 2007

Christmas gift? No. New Year present? No. This is my last birthday gift of year 2007. It was a lovely mug from Joey. Thank you very much. Late is better than never. I accepted it as Birthday, Christmas & New Year present. ^-^

To Hospital

I rushed mum to hospital on 8th Dec at 3.30am because of her heart problem. Mum admitted to hospital on the same date and was discharged on 11th Dec – the day I won a prize. I was terrific busy for past 2 weeks because I have to work & go hospital everyday. I am glad that mum is getting better now.

Yesterday, I took mum back to hospital for a stress test. The appointment was 2:45pm but they didn’t mention where to go. So, we went an hour earlier & waited at the registration counter from 1:30 – 2:45pm. When the counter opened, we were told to go 1st floor. At 1st floor, we were asked to get a file from ground floor. Went here & there, eventually mum saw doctor at 4:00pm & test finished almost at 5:00pm.

It was a new & nice hospital but the service is really needed to improve. I saw so many well-decorate signboards in this hospital saying about friendly, polite, responsibility & etc. I just wish they could work more aggressive.

Blur Wednesday

I went for Christmas shopping on Christmas day. It was a very enjoyable shopping day but very tired too. Maybe because of the weather or too many people, I caught flue & bad throat at the same night. Hardly to sleep for the whole night & keep turning on bed until the next morning.

Wednesday morning, I came to work with an exhausted body & sleepy eyes. On the way to office, I dropped by to buy newspaper as usual. I was wondering why the newspaper lady gave me a signal "No" but then I realized no newspaper day after holiday. So embarrassed.

My boss came to office & bought me chicken rice for lunch. I don't feel good but still finished it ( no waste ). My worker took half day leave & I have to lock all the gates. It was heavy rain & thunder somemore. I went home sharp at 5pm.

When I got home, Oh my god, I left my cellphone in office. Factory's tools & things keep dissapeared lately & so I have no choose but drove back to office again. The worst part was, I forgot to bring the keys this time! Why am I so forgetful & careless? Lucky my boss's gardener who lives nearby has the spare keys otherwise think I might cry.

Tomorrow is my sister - Sally's birthday but we decided to celebrate earlier. So I went to pick up the pandan layers cake that I've ordered this morning after got my cellphone. "Sorry, your cake is not ready yet, could you please come back after 7pm?" Oh no! Went home again!

I hate when I am sick. I feel so weak & impatience in doing everything. Blur Wednesday, blue my day. >o<

Christmas - Handbag

Hohoho…..My Santa Claus Mimi sent me a lovely handbag today. Thought she forgot to put in the card but then I find out that the card was too big & doesn’t fit. That’s why Mimi needed to send it separately. Haha…Mimi oh Mimi, you always make me laugh. I am so very happy to receive your gift. Thank you very much. ( Hope you’ll read my special thanks note for you here. )

I had a bad day this morning but a great surprise when I am back home. I realized that we would never know what would happen to us for the next day, hour, minute or second. No matter what has or will comes to us, just look forward & see the bright side. Everything will be just fine.

Tomorrow will be Chinese people’s big day – Dong Zhi. Wish all my Chinese friends Happy Dong Zhi & have a great time with beloved family & friends while enjoy the colourful & tasty “Tang Yuan”. Oldest say, we would be older one year by tomorrow & do appreciate everything we had. *-*

Office Black-Out

Everything just fine early in the morning. Today is last day for the 1st company's audit. Something weird happen after the auditor came for an hour.

The lights suddenly turn off & on by its own. Then printer is not working and computer started to blink blink. All the electrical didn't off at the same time but one by one. Lucky we were two in office today, otherwise I would be so panic.

I asked my worker to check on it but can't find the problem. So, called wireman & he came after half hour. Check & check, suddenly the switch came out with pop sound with smoke & little fire. Office is going to blow up?? We jump up & run out from office. Well, nothing happen but everything were off eventually.

Wireman said that we need to call TNB ( Electric supply company ) because he suspects something wrong with the electric supply. So, I called TNB & wait, again. The auditor was unable to work under the heat & left early ( It was rainning almost everyday here but hot & burning sun today. ) Hour & hour, then we were told that they are unable to do anything yet cause some important parts were missing in our electric station. It was stollen!! So, pictures taken to report & have to wait for backup.

One and half hour before go home, the electric was fixed, finally. I switch on everything one by one & luckily nothing short. What's a black Friday. Working in dark without air-con for over 5 hours, oh, it was so terrible!

Hohoho…… This is my very first Christmas gift from my best friend - Yvonne. It is a lovely Merry Chrismas pillow. Thank you very much.

Yvonne, Alice and I went to have tea at mamak store last night. We have talk and laugh for 2 ½ hours with just a drink each. Sorry mamak boss, this is our style – plain talk & no food. We have so many topics to put on table, works, shopping, travel & food. Recently we extend our interest to cooking & bakery. So exciting.

I really enjoy the moment we spend together. Cheers for our friendship forever.

It was such a quite street when I was on my way to work today. It is holiday for most of the people unfortunately not for me. Chinese people always say “ Same people different fate.” I just need to accept it.

Worst Cancer - Causing Foods

Alice sent me this important information. These are good taste foods but are orst to our body too. The Top Five Cancer-Causing Foods Are :-

1. Hot dogs. Because they are high in nitrates,the Cancer Prevention Coalition advises that children eat no more than 12 hot dogs a month. If you can't live without hot dogs, buy those made without sodium nitrate.

2. Processed meats and bacon. Also high in the same sodium nitrates found in hot dogs, bacon, and other proc essed meats raise the risk of heart disease. The saturated fat in bacon also contributes to cancer.

3. Doughnuts. Doughnuts are cancer-causing double trouble. First, they are made with white flour, sugar, and hydrogenated oils, then fried at high temperatures. Doughnuts, says Adams , may be the worst food you can possibly eat to raise your risk of cancer.

4. French fries. Like doughnuts, French fries are made with hydrogenated oils and then fried at high temperatures. They also contain cancer- causing acrylamides which occur during the frying process. They should be called cancer fries, not French fries, said Adams ..

5. Chips, crackers, and cookies. All are usually made with white flour and sugar. Even the ones whose labels claim to be free of trans-fats generally contain small amounts of trans-fats.

Life's Lesson

A pretty woman was serving a life sentence in prison. Angry and resentful about her situation, she had decided that she would rather die than to live another year in prison. Over the years she had become good friends with one of the prison caretakers.

His job, among others, was to bury those prisoners .Who died in a graveyard just outside the prison walls? When a prisoner died, the caretaker rang a bell, which was heard by everyone.

The caretaker then got the body and put it in a casket. Next, he entered his office to fill out the death certificate before returning to the casket to nail the lid shut. Finally, he put the casket on a wagon to take it to the graveyard and bury it. Knowing this routine, the woman devised an escape plan and shared it with the caretaker.

The next time the bell rang, the woman would leave her cell and sneak into the dark room where the coffins were kept.

She would slip into the coffin with the dead body while the caretaker was filling out the death certificate. When the care-taker returned, he would nail the lid shut and take the coffin outside the prison with the woman in the coffin along with the dead body. He would then bury the coffin. The woman knew there would be enough air for her to breathe until later in the evening when the caretaker would return to the graveyard under the cover of darkness, dig up the coffin, open it, and set her free.The caretaker was reluctant to go along with this plan, but since he and the woman had become good friends over the years, he agreed to do it. The woman waited several weeks before someone in the prison died. She was asleep in her cell when she heard the death bell ring. She got up, picked the lock of her cell, and slowly walked down the hallway.

She was nearly caught a couple of times. Her heart was beating fast. She opened the door to the darkened room where the coffins were kept. Quietly in the dark, she found the coffin that contained the dead body, carefully climbed into the coffin and pulled the lid shut to wait for the caretaker to come and nail the lid shut. Soon she heard footsteps and the pounding of the hammer and nails.

Even though she was very uncomfortable in the coffin with the dead body, she knew that with each nail she was one step closer to freedom. The coffin was lifted onto the wagon and taken outside to the graveyard. She could feel the coffin being lowered into the ground.She didn't make a sound as the coffin hit the bottom of the grave with a thud. Finally she heard the dirt dropping onto the top of the wooden coffin,and she knew that it was only a matter of time until she would be free at last. After several minutes of absolute silence, she began to laugh. She was free! She was free!

Feeling curious, she decided to light a match to find out the identity of the dead prisoner beside her. To her horror, she discovered that she was lying next to the dead caretaker.

MORAL of the Lesson: Many people believe they have life all figured out... but sometimes it just doesn't turn out the way they planned it

1st Prize!!

Another big surprise! Late birthday gift? No! Early Christmas gift? No! This is the prize that I’ve won today – a Canon Pixma all in one photo printer.

What I did was answer 2 simple questions, fill in personal particulars, cut the contest form ( from newspaper ) & post it. I did that about 2 weeks ago to try my luck. I read today’s newspaper as usual and guess what? My name was published on it & I am the 1st prize winner! Wow…that’s all I can say. I went to pick up my “unbelievable” prize today & picture was taken too. I think my face would appear on newspaper tomorrow. Hope I look good.

I think I am a lucky bug, not all the time but sometimes. It wasn’t thousand cash but its really invaluable & worth to cheer me up. I have cut the newspaper & create a new page in my lovely life memory.

Power of Praise

A soccer coach divided his team to 3 small groups for training while he did a small test.

He praised the 1st group by saying, “ You all performed great with perfect co-operation. Well done! You are the best.”

He spoke to the 2nd group, “ You all did pretty good, if you could run faster, that would be better.”

Finally, he shouted at the last team, “ What’s wrong with you guys? You were out of trend! How could we win if I count on you?”

Actually these 3 groups of soccer players have the same quality. However, after the test, 1st group achieved the best result, followed by the 2nd & 3rd.

Conclusion – In certain situations, praise is worthier than criticism to boost an individual talent comport with ambition.

Rain Over 24 Hours

Planet is sick!

Started rain here 2 days ago. Eventually stopped this afternoon. But the rain won't rest longer. The sky is getting dull again. I think rain is coming soon, again!

Watched the news on TV last night & read newspaper this morning. All about flood in JB ( South Malaysia ). Many people get in troubles. The weather forecast said that the rain will continue for another few days.

Christmas Soon

Christmas is around the corner. Have you feel it yet? This is the picture taken at the shopping mall which I went on last Sunday. Lovely decoration & display.

I have a dream which is to celebrate christmas day in a snowing country someday in near future. I can imagine that I'll be wearing my winter suits & creating my snowman with the loved one. Oh, that will be great!

Even no snowing here but we have rain ok. I just need a christmas tree with some blink blink to please my day. It is heavy raining now & I am just having my hot coffee in my cool cool office. >o<

Year End Sales

I went shopping again! I saw all sign of big Sales everywhere in the shopping mall. That's really exciting!

See what I've got. 2 pairs of new shoes which cost me less than RM60/-. I've promised myself, this should be the last batch of shoes, enough for this year ( I think I bought almost 10 pairs of shoes this year ). Will go for another christmas shopping on next weekend & hope to get some cheap but nice stuffs. ^-^

Shopping could really makes me happy, especially when you've got what you want. ^o^

Attitude

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head. Well,' she said, 'I think I'll braid my hair today?'So she did and she had a wonderful day.

Happy Everyday

I buy birthday cake for all my family members. I really wish I could bake like Sweetiepie. Well, 01/11 was my nephew - Lock's birthday but he wasn't here. He loves cake. Since it was too late to celebrate birthday, I still buy him a cake on last Friday - Black Forest with his favourite little cheries on ( 1 chery was stollen before we start the party ^o^). I've asked the baker to write on Happy Everyday instead of birthday. He was staring at me & ask again, what? Happy everyday - E-V-E-R-Y-D-A-Y. Sound a bit weird but that was the best to write on, I guess.

School holiday started, that's why sister with her 2 naughty boys - Boy & Lock came home for 2 weeks holidays. They made big mess everyday. Screaming, fighting, crying, they did everything. Hardly to do anything at home. Caused me headache all the time. They are too naughty & the only place we can & love to go is the beach. We had fun & great time!

They went home last night. Feel so quiet & empty today. They will chase me behind when I came home from work, help me to carry my bag & look if I've bought anything for them. We laugh together & shout together when we were fighting ( I love teasing them haha ). They felt so down & sad to go home last night. Boy keep crying non-stop even he promised me not to.

I am going to miss them so much & wish them happy everyday!
