Life = Drive

I have been so busy & frustrated these days. I really hope everything will be end by next week.

Living is just like driving, always look & moving forward to your destination. When you are driving on the road, you would have to stop when the light turn to red. While you are stopping, it is your time for a break & to think. You could keep on your journey when it is green. There is all kind of scenes along your way, no matter how terrible it is, as long as you are moving forward, non-stop; you would definitely reach your destination.

It is just like working & living. To archive our goal, we may have to works smart & hard. No matter what happen in the process, as long as you are clearly understand the right direction you are ahead with, any dream can be come true someday.

A Mother's Love

This is a touching story that made me cry...........
The Story of One-eyed Mother

My mom only had one eye. I hated her. She was such an embarrassment. She cooked for students & teachers to support the family. There was one occasion during elementary school and my mom came. I was so embarrassed. How could she do this to me? I threw her a hateful look and ran out.

The next day at school..."Your mom only has one eye?!?!"...eeeee said a friend. I wished my mom would just disappear from this world. So I said to my mom, "Mom... Why don't you have the other eye?! If you're only going to make me a laughing stock, why don't you just die?!!!"
My mom did not respond. I guess I felt a little bad, but at the same time, it felt good to think that I had said what I'd wanted to say all this time. Maybe it was, because my mom hadn't punished me, but I didn't think that I had hurt her feelings very badly.

That night, I woke up, and went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. My mom was crying there, so quietly, as if she was afraid that she might wake me. I took a look at her, and then turned away. Because of the thing I had said to her earlier, there was something pinching at me in the corner of my heart. Even so, I hated my mother who was crying out of her one eye. So I told myself that I would grow up and become successful.

Then I studied real hard. I left my mother and went to Singapore to study. Then, I got married. I bought a house of my own. Then I had kids, too. Now I'm living happily as a successful man. I like it here because it's a place that doesn't remind me of my mom. This happiness was getting bigger and bigger, when...

What?! Who's this?! It was my mother...Still with her one eye. I felt as if the whole sky was falling apart on me. Even my children ran away, scared of my mom's eye. And I asked her, "Who are you?!" "I don't know you!!!" as if trying to make that real. I screamed at her, "How dare you come to my house and scare my children!!” GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!!!" And to this, my mother quietly answered,

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I may have gotten the wrong address," and she disappeared out of sight. Thanks good ness... She doesn't recognize me. I was quite relieved. I told myself that I wasn't going to care, Or think about this for the rest of my life. Then a wave of relief came upon me.

One day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house in Singapore. So, lying to my wife that I was going on a business trip, I went. After the reunion, I went down to the old shack that I used to call a house. Just out of curiosity. There, I found my mother fallen on the cold ground. But I did not shed a single tear.

She had a piece of paper in her hand. It was a letter to me. "My son. I think my life has been long enough now and I won’t visit Singapore anymore. But would it be too much to ask if I wanted you to come visit me once in a while? I miss you so much and I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the reunion. But I decided not to go to the school. For you….And I'm sorry that I only have one eye, and I was an embarrassment for you. You see, when you were very little, you got into an accident, and lost your eye. As a mom, I couldn't stand watching you having to grow up with only one eye...
So I gave you mine...

I was so proud of my son that was seeing a whole new world for me, in my place, with that eye. I was never upset at you for anything you did. The couple times that you were angry with me. I thought to myself, 'It's because he loves me.' My son... Oh, my son... "

You Are Special To Me

Although it's quite a statement,
Well, it happens to be true,
The best friend I have ever had,
I'm glad to say, is you.

You're there if I should need you,
And you never turn away,
I know I can depend on you,
At any time of day.

We've had our ups and downs,
As nearly everybody does,
But problems never last for long,
With special friends like us.

Some people have so many friends,
With whom they spend their time,
But no-one has a best friend,
Who's as wonderful as mine.

So thanks for always being there,
Your friendship's strong and true,
And I just want to let you know,
I'm always there for you!

You are Special to me,
Sensational, Patient, Energetic,
Caring, Intelligent, Attentive & Loving,
Maybe that’s why we are such good friends.

Competitor Keep You Ahead

An athlete always at the last place in any run race. The coach was so disappointed and though he may not potential in this field and about to eliminate him. One day, the athlete has broken a world standard’s record. The coach was so surprised & curious on how he could make it? The athlete explained that one-day, when he was on his way home & chasing by a wild wolf. He was so scared & run hardly just to escape. When he reaches home safely, he found that he made an incredible speed for the 1st time.

A strong competitor could be a great power to push you forward. You would definitely fight harder to uphold the challenges as you realized there is always an enemy behind you. Obstacles keep you grow & improve.

Love Letter

I've listened to my favourite radio station yesterday & they were discussing about who you would like to write & send a love letter to. You could write to anyone ( not only for lover ), to your puppy, cat, pen, T-shirt & anything. I would like to write a love letter to my Teddy..... Bear.

Dear Teddy,

Papa sent you as my Christmas gift last year. Even you "arrived" late but I am so happy that you are here. You are the 1st & the greatest that I've ever had. You are the one that I laugh & cry for when I was happy & down. You are the one who listening to me when nobody does. You are the one that I could hold with when I need a shoulder to count on. Even sometimes I kick you out to release my anger but you will never say "No".

Thanks for look after my lovely bedroom when I gone for work & thanks for waiting patiently for my return. Thanks for being with me always....I love you Teddy.

Tomato Story

I got another story to tell, just have fun......

A jobless man applied for the position of "office boy" at Microsoft.

The HR manager interviewed him then watched him cleaning the floor as a test. "You are employed" he said. "Give me your e-mail address and I'll send you the application to fill in, as well as date when you may start."

The man replied "But I don't have a computer, neither an email". "I'm sorry", said the HR manager. If you don't have an email, that means you do not exist. And who doesn't exist, cannot have the job."

The man left with no hope at all. He didn't know what to do, with only $10 in his pocket. He then decided to go to the supermarket and buy a 10Kg tomato crate. He then sold the tomatoes in a door-to-door round. In less than two hours, he succeeded to double his capital. He repeated the operation three times, and returned home with $60.

The man realized that he can survive by this way, and started to go everyday earlier, and return late. Thus, his money doubled or tripled every day. Shortly, he bought a cart, then a truck, and then he had his own fleet of delivery vehicles.

5 years later, the man is one of the biggest food retailers in the US. He started to plan his family's future, and decided to have a life insurance. He called an insurance broker, and chose a protection plan. When the conversation was concluded the broker asked him his email.

The man replied, "I don't have an email. "The broker answered curiously, "You don't have an email, and yet have succeeded to build an empire. Can you imagine what you could have been if you had an e mail?!!"

The man thought for a while and replied, "Yes, I'd be an office boy at Microsoft!"

Moral of the story

M1 - Internet is not the solution to your life.

M2 - If you don't have internet, and work hard, you can be a millionaire.

M3- If you received this message by email, you are closer to being an office boy/girl, than a millionaire... Have a great day!!!

Proud To Be A Chinese

A story that I've read for many times, which I would like to keep it here..........
A Chinese man walks into a bank in New York City and asks for the loan officer. He tells the loan officer that he is going to China on business for two weeks and needs to borrow $5,000. The bank officer tells him that the bank will need some form of security for the loan, so the Chinese man hands over the keys to a new Ferrari parked on the street in front of the bank. He produces the title and everything checks out. The loan officer agrees to accept the car as collateral for the loan.

The bank's president and its officers all enjoy a good laugh at the Chinese for using a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral against a $5,000 loan. An employee of the bank then drives the Ferrari into the bank's underground garage and parks it there.

Two weeks later, the Chinese returns, repays the $5,000 and the interest, which comes to $15.41. The loan officer says, "Sir, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multi-millionaire. What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow $5,000?"

The Chinese replies: "Where else in New York City can I park my car for 2 weeks for only $15.41 and Expect it to be there when I return?"

How Do You Have Your Lunch?

How do you have your lunch? When first I noticed the heading, I though it was some kind of tips on diet. Well well, I was wrong! It is some philosophy on how to fully utilize your lunchtime to foster closer your relationship with your colleagues, managers or even boss. I think it is very meaningful & useful. Let's see how a LUNCH could help in upgrade your career ^o^

1.) Is the lunch the Wining Point?NEVER HAVE LUNCH ALONE
Having lunch in a good & relax restaurant would definitely well than the serious office. Lunch is a good opportunity to understand & know each other better. For a longer mutual work ship, build up friendship is necessary.

2.) What to eat?SOMETHING FRESH & SIMPLE
Take something less cholesterol & calorie because it could make you asleep after lunchtime. Something light but nutrition would be better to keep you fresh & energetic for the rest of the day.

3.) Where to eat?PRIORITY : NEAREST PLACE WITH QUEIT ENVIRONMENT
Find a place that near to your office so that you have enough time to enjoy your lunch & chat. A peaceful & comfortable environment is essential too.

4.) Who to eat with?START INDIVIDUALLY
The starting is the hardest. You may find difficult to get into group of colleagues but it is easier to start with a personal. You may find an excuse to further discuss some office works with your senior. Usually he / she would not refuse & may ask you to join them for lunch. If you succeed for the 1st & 2nd time, it would be absolutely smoother to participate in that group for the coming lunch.

5.) What to talk about during lunch?START WITH SMALL TALK
Don’t be afraid that you are short of topic to talk about. Just start with small talk, such as the menu, environment, decoration & etc. Conversation would grow & spread from time to time.

Reply Letter For A Rejected Letter

A friend of mine from India has sent me an interesting letter as below. It is good to read when you have been rejected ^0^

Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your letter of March 24th. After careful consideration, I regret to inform you that I am unable to accept your refusal to offer me employment with your company.

This year I have been particularly fortunate in receiving an unusually large number of rejection letters. With such a varied and promising field of candidates it is impossible for me to accept all refusals.

Despite your company's outstanding qualifications and previous experience in rejecting applicants, I find that your rejection does not meet my needs at this time. Therefore I will initiate employment with your firm immediately following graduation. I look forward to seeing you then.

Sincerely,
The person that you have rejected.

Colours Of Banana

When the baby banana is still hanging on the three, it is green.

When banana ripe, it would turns to yellow.

If you didn’t pick the banana, it would change to yellow-black ( over-matured ).

After a week, banana turns to black-green ( …..Banana fall down from the tree and got bruise – “Black-Green” )

After 10 minutes, the banana on the ground would totally change to black.

Do you know why?………….Because my puppy ate it & pee back to the ground.

Now you know how banana changes its colour. ^o^

What I Want To Be?

When I was 7…..
My ambition was to become a teacher. Writing on the black board, telling stories & singing with all my students. When I was a kid, I enjoyed my “student & teaching” session with my buddies ^-^

When I was 18……
I wanted to score 12 As in my examination, so that I can hop directly to local University but I didn’t make it. I hate exam.

When I was 20……..
I wish any lovely guy would date me out but I wasn’t outstanding.

When I was 23……
I started to work and wanted to be a successful businesswoman but it doesn’t seem as easy as I though.

When I was 25…….
I have though I could meet my Mr. Right, get married & set up my happy family with 4 little cute kids but until today I am still single. Then I have decided to diet & be a good looking & intelligent lady but everything is still in progress. ^o^

Now I am 28…….
I wanted to settle my car’s installment & buy my very 1st house. Not a big one but would be my private space with all my own decoration & my favourite colours. Now, I wish I wont lose my job, salary increment & bonus by the end of the year.

When I am 35…….
I wish I had saved enough money to travel at least 5 interesting places in the world, such as Japan, Hong Kong, Europe, India & US. I am working on my Japanese now.

When I am 40……
I still wish I could found my true love & have my dream’s wedding. I wish I still look good ;p

When I am 50……
I want to retire & enjoy the rest of my life with my partner. Go to travel & see the other side of the world again if I still can walk. I wish I still can typing & writting my blog ^-^

I wish all my dreams would come true.

Not Mine!

A conversation in a crush & pressed bus :~

A pregnant woman who’s standing was talking to the man who sits in front of her, “Do you know that I am pregnant?” ( She wants the man to give her the seat………)

The man was so nervous and says, “ The baby is not mine!”
